Great riffs and melodies create an atmosphere that disembowels the silence in a aggressive and raw way. Yet you can find subtlety in every part of this album. Not innovative but audacious way to build on black metal.

I had to give The Fire Cult Beyond Eternity three listens before deciding whether I liked it, at which point I decided that I loved it - but I understand that this will not click with everyone because it is more complex and demanding than is immediately apparent. This is compounded by the fact that there are no immediate contemporary reference points (read: this is as original as black metal gets without going too avant-garde). Embrace this odd ritual and give yourself to Onirik!
